just can't do lipstick...
I am at the end of my rope...
This House Is Killing Me.
I had one area in this whole house that I absolutely loved. Facing the sink and window in the kitchen. It was just about finished and due to some intricate finish work by my ex, the carpenter, it was exactly as I wanted it to be...And now it is ruined. There is another leak {from unfinished exterior work on the second floor} and of course it came down through the finished plaster work and has ruined the wall. It is a soggy, swollen mess, much like myself...I am waiting for all the tiling I've done to pop off...I know worse could happen. This is just the straw...The worst part is I can't fix the problem. I have to wait for someone else to fix it...I seem to do a lot of waiting because I have very little resources, and by resources, I mean money.

My heart is broken, my house is broken, my spirit...hairline fissures...widening...

In spirit.

I'm thinking of you tonight.

I wish I could rip that wall back, gut the gush of water and toast bottles while retiling. But for tonight, in spirit.

sucks :(
This reminds me I should try to fight again with the insurance company - although it's exhausting and probably pointless - over the huge crack in my wall which I had to pay for myself. Luckily, my apartment had a repair fund, but I needed the money for other things :(

I know how it feels, when something that seems like the last oasis is ruined.

Ugghh...I know how you feel as our second floor is being patched again for the third time...I had this notion of leaving the six carved out holes in the ceiling drywall open, just like modern art (hee hee) but my husband would not have it. My argument, why bother, in two months time another leak will bring it down...I think it is a valid argument. Time + money...oh well! I use the same line of reasoning and it does work... If we lived in the same area we could work on each others' leaks... : ) Don't worry about it..enjoy yourself in spite of the leaks.... xoxoxo
