Donation Wednesday!

Ha! Guess what?! Today is a holiday in my home town. The oldest sporting event in North America is happening right now! The Royal St. John's Regatta.

And so...Once again my original planed donation has been foiled!
But...

A friend, fellow blogger, of mine is biking in The Pink Ribbons Project - Tour de Pink: and I noticed her goal of $100 was at $85. So I went through the process and donated $20. Now Tena has reached, and exceeded, her pledge promise and I've donated money to a very good cause. I know several women who are currently battling various forms of cancer, breast cancer included. I am lucky enough to be living in Canada, with our wonderful , if over taxed, Health Care system. I hope the money raised through the Tour de Pink helps women who have enough to deal with without the extra burden of paying medical bills.

A little about this cause...

Tour de Pink 2009 is a Texas bike ride solely benefiting breast cancer.

Monies raised from Tour de Pink 2009 will go directly to the Pink Ribbons Project, an organization that has raised more than $2.5 million since 1995 to purchase mammograms for medically under served women and to present health and breast cancer education demonstrations to schools and businesses in Houston.

Where can you make a small donation right now?
