Houses of the Battery

While there is no "typical" architecture in Newfoundland this is one of my favourites. The brightly coloured houses that can be found anywhere on the island. Plain square houses in an assortment of bright colours to fight away the foggy day blues. The photo above is not a great example...I don't usually take these types of shots...

This looks so strangely surreal! The houses could be miniatures or embroidered on white cotton...

I love your photo so much. The lovely colours of the wood clad buildings. I think it looks so welcoming. I'd love to wander around there sometime. Thanks for showing this.
