just a little chat

Anyone having a problem with comments lately? I am unable to see if I have any, when there are a few it will say "1" on my dashboard and when I open it there are "5"...So if you leave me a comment it may take awhile to get it posted because I don't even know of it's existence! Perhaps I'll remove moderation temporarily?

Hope you are having an exciting Saturday. I am grouting the backsplash in my kitchen today. And spray painting a great vintage pendant that will be in there. I picked a colour called "Bahama Sea"...I was thinking "Watermelon" would've been so cool and different but I already have everything to go with my houses oceanic theme...Beach houses are so lovely and relaxed...I would've left the shade the bare metal but it is getting rusty, Newfoundland humidity. I think she was originally yellow, then painted (with a brush) a seafoam as you can see in the part I have yet to clean...

My mother got me this one (I have many, I bought every one I found just in case "the one" didn't show up...) in her town's only Thrift Store. In this area the Thrift Store throws away vintage things! My Mother has saved more than one flashy 70's piece from the dumpster (she volunteered there while finishing her degree). I have come from that store with a huge garbage bag full of great things for $5...*sigh* I wish I were there now... ;)

Where do you wish you were right now?! I guess with that question so open I could say a Paris Flea Market with my Mom, my Best Friends (T&K), Shellbell, Fringe, Tena, Kerin, MLJ, P.K, Ange, Nancy, Ida, Victoria, Tammy, Katie, ::mari::, Torilpia, Elyoo, Line, Guillemette, Karen, Sah, Maria-Thérèse (I shouldn't have started this because I will surely forget someone I love!). Just Girls and you have to dress up for the fun!!! Heh. So now it's your turn...
:)

i want to be where you just said - in paris at a market with you and the other lovely ladies! what a dream :)someday maybe we'll all converge in paris for a meetup, wouldn't that be perfect? le sigh!

right now i'm drinking coffee and watching Bottlerocket and working on an inspiration college from magazine cutouts :)

i haven't had any problems with comments lately... but i did a while back and it worked itself out, i guess. do you have it set so that you receive notifications in your email? i try not to publish comments straight from the email notification, they often go missing in cyberspace for several days! i'll read them there and then publish from my dashboard.

I want to be there with you. In a fleamarket in Paris, dressed up, excited and curious and eager to explore the stalls...

Darling girl, a Paris flea market sounds heavenly. Dreamy!

I love the pendant and the Thrift Store sounds almost too good to be true. How wonderful to find a little magic shop like that.

You know, I too am having comment problems. Just as you explained. It concerns me a great deal as I've never had this trouble before...Do you think we should disable comment moderation? I'm debating back and forth. If it's just a little glitch we could wait it out, but I do fear that I may miss a special comment along the line...Oy.

Have a beautiful day, sweet friend...xo

Ahh, Paris, fleamarket and 'all the girls' sounds just perfect!
Actually David and I will be going to flea markets today AND tomorrow. We're kind of obsessed with flea markets and have found so many cool things for sooo little money! Not the same as a fleamarket the Paris though!!! *sigh*

I don't have problems with my comments. Maybe because I don't moderate them?

And one last thing I love, love, love that pendant! What a fantastic find! Please show us when it's all done :-)

Great idea .. :o) Paris has always been a dream of mine as well :o) Guess being there with a lot of girls (and hopefully lots of money) would have been perfect :o)

I am really impressed about all the work you have put down in fixing your kitchen. Can you do mine as well??? :o)

Haven't had any problems posting comments at your blog .. but then again I haven't been here as often as I used to be. I hope that I'll manage to come visit more often for the future. Love your blog :o)

All the best - lots of hugs!!

P.S. I had comment moderation for a while when I got a lot of spam but there were glitches. Sometimes the comments showed up much later on the dashboard and I also didn't like it visually :S

Temps perdu, Amanda and Rosy are all invited to join the excursion!
Thanks for all the comments and advice...
Perhaps we should plan an Paris meet-up? May 2011 sounds good to me Nancy!
If I win a lot of money...I don't play the lottery so I don't see how...But if I do...I'll be sending tickets!
