Shameful Secrets...Well, Just One...Sort of.

I usually ignore blog awards, not because I am ungrateful but because I don't want those I choose to pass it onto to feel obligated to accept! Hmmm. Perhaps that is a sign of some significant psychological issue I should delve into...Or not.

So with the acceptance of this award from

Maria-Thérèse of the lovely blog afiori

I will award 7 bloggers and their inspirational blogs but I'm not going to tell them about it. If they read and choose to accept is completely up to them. I will link to them because perhaps you will be inspired by what you read or see...

Without further ado...
7 Things you may not know about me...
  1. I am a pescatarian. I gave up chicken on New Years Day and do not miss it at all. I've not ate red meat for 15 years. My iron level is higher today than it's been in years (see #3). ?
  2. I really want to join Ballet again. I stopped when I was about 8 and the older I get the more I want to try it again. I can not find an adult beginner class here...
  3. My Father and I give blood every 56 days if at all possible. Today we gave our 25th (me) and 75th (he) whole blood donations. We are both O- and therefore are universal donors. It is nice to do this together and to reach these "pin" milestones together. Do you give?
  4. My IQ is VERY high. Heh. No. I've never had it tested but I am pretty s-m-r-t. If this blog didn't automatically spell check I would not write it! Can you spell a-tro-ci-ous?
  5. I want to run the local 10K race this year. I don't run, I have a very flat and an almost flat foot, I am overweight, I may, just may, be lazy...I still want to do it.
  6. When I say overweight I mean curvy of course. ;) A Canadian size 12-14...
  7. Oh oh. This one is difficult...I think I may be ruining my high-brow rep, perhaps may even lose a few followers with this one...I read "Twilight" last week. It was $0.99 at a thrift store so said "why not?" and bought it. I finished it within 24 hours and spent the next two days trying to find "New Moon" in the second hand shops, I bought it new last night. I am half way through...I am not sure what the appeal is...It is easy to read, nothing too complex or thought provoking yet there is something very attractive to me about "tortured vampire" psyche...Oh. Have any of you un-subscribed yet? Honestly, I have no idea. Now I must see the movies too. Tricky. :)
Thank you Maria-Thérèse it was fun! My nominations are...
Ida, Pien, Don, P.K, Fringe, Victoria, Line
As I said this is more about directing you to these blogs because a lot of these have little or no personal info at all BUT they are fabulous.

There are others out there who have become "friends" to me. I think you know who you are and I want to say thanks so much for the input and encouragement over the last few months. You make me excited to turn on the computer in the mornings. (...and please do not leave because I like the teen book! ;)

Thank you so much for playing along!! :D
I actually thought of including "I have a severe phobia of blood" but I didn't :-S so eeeek on #3 but also well done! (Seriously, I have trouble even reading or saying the word!)

:D Kerin...*sigh*...Funny how we feel we are alone sometimes. Thanks!

Maria-Thérèse...It was fun! I guess the "blood" theme is running rampant through our posts! :) Did you read the vampire books too? ;)

I enjoyed reading your list of things. I was considered "bright" (as opposed to what?) That was great, school was easy, but no one really guided me on what to do with it. Good grades, yes. I was still expected to be a good wife and the mother of properly brought-up children. Which I did well.

It's interesting to see how people use their intellect.

Confession: I've seen the movies :) I mocked my best friend to death about reading the series but I sure did go sit through the movie with her...let's just say I did it for her ;)

~I think it's fantastic you & your dad give as you do! If I didn't pass out when being stabbed by needles I might be inclined to do the same.

~If I lived near you we would so be the curvy girls in leotards taking ballet!

{hugs}

Congrats!
I'm really impressed by your list, especially your IQ...I bet you don't do the "errr???" like I do!
No. 3 is inspiring!

For some reason this post made me smile.
I too have flat feet. I too wish to run. I too am overweight. (but I really am) I just finished the 4th book in the Twilight Series. And yes, I enjoyed them all. Well, not book 2 so much. Piano? There we're different.

Leonorenevermore...I was completely joking about the IQ...I feel I am quite average. I was poking fun at people who feel the need to throw the # out to the world...It tells sooo little... :)

Seven reasons to love you even more, dear heart. I could write a very long post responding to all 7 tidbits. I'll spare you that and say just this. I think that if someone hasn't read Twilight, they should. It's a book that is so phenominally popular, everyone should give it a try if only to see why that is.

I can't tell you how touched and honored I am to be one of your nominations. Thank you, love. I will certainly participate and take great pleasure in doing so.

xoxo

Thanks for the blog love :)

I got over being ashamed about my Twilight addiction like a year ago...it may be marketed for teenagers but it's a universal love story (I think, the best ever). In fact, as a teen, I don't think I could have really fathomed the tortured depths of love. That's one of the beautiful things about aging; it comes with understanding and appreciation.
