Out in the Garden

he's been seen with the wrong sort
I've been doing so much I've not touched the keyboard for days...
Yesterday I picked and chopped 26 cups of rhubarb...To freeze. To make a yummy compote. To munch inch by bitter inch...I picked mature spinach to blanch and freeze, baby to eat with supper. I washed loads of laundry and hung it to dry. I drank coffee and ate freshly baked (my own) white bread with butter. I sat with my camera in hand next to a bubbling brook while waiting for the newly arrived ducks...I walked barefoot everywhere...I read a preserve cookbook while rocking in the porch chair. I found an empty nest blown from a tree into the path...I stroked the impatient Poppies prickly pods...I basked...This was a day at my Father's home...Just outside the city limits, a couple of acres of bliss...
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

It does sound like bliss! Me, I've celebrated Midsummer, walked through meadows, sung about little frogs, had pink wine and listened to Lady Gaga and today is the great Tea Party!
