Five Senses Friday

vanity green
Seeing:
A lot of progress...Others may not see it but it is here...Quietly happening under the roof and the ceilings and my skin...

Hearing: Incessant meows. Drooke is practicing for the opera today. She will not be satisfied...

Tasting: Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and black tea. Breakfast. I was too tired to make anything this morning. Even slicing the bread seemed a chore too great.

Touching: My old {amazing} mid-century desk which I took apart, brought downstairs piece by piece and reassembled in my bedroom yesterday afternoon. I will now have two work spaces when the livingroom/office is finished. I love this desk.

Smelling: Tea and Nanette Lepore perfume. I bought a bottle of perfume {or three + Fleur de corail and Bob Mackie} for 95% off...I'm not a perfume wearer by nature but thought I should have some just in case I feel the urge to wear it...Plus, the bottles were worth the $4...Pretty. My Mother ends up with all my unused perfume. Poison, I wore a few times; Gucci Rush, I loved but it was too strong; Others, all used once. So Mom, here's a preview of your future scents... ;)

6th Sense...
Intuition: The calm before the storm...Not all storms are bad...

What is happening in your sensory world today?

Seeing-a lot has to be done, I think I should use your point of view
hearing- for now only the hum and I like it
smelling-my coffee
tasting- coffee and donut (naughty)- I do plan to limit (not kick) the donut habit
touching- now the keyboard
intuition-I better get organized

I love the perfume bottles and I like that you let your mom see her future perfumes : )

xoxo

I love perfumes, colognes, scents, incense, perfume sticks, candles...i love them :) I envy you that you have a work room. I don't have yet...so whenever I start working on a project, I have my art stash all ou ton my bed and the stuff flows onto my floor :) hehehe. I hope you enjoy your weekend!

You're right about the storms. Sometimes a storm can clean things up and make them all shiny and new.

I'm not much for perfume either. Except for Chanel No. 5 and Lancome's Miracle, on those occasions when I feel pretty.

I hope you have a lovely weekend, Andrea.

xoxo,
tena

This is such a cool post idea! Oatmeal cookies and black tea sound delicious! My "taste" has been banana/chocolate cupcakes and masala chai tea!
