Take Me Out to the Ball Game

I was just {minutes ago} sitting in the stands eating sushi with chopsticks and watching my Father play softball. The lights over the field had just come on, the scene was lovely and surreal...
A lady, drinking a sweaty beer, a stand away asked which player was mine.
I pointed "That's my Dad."
My eyes filled with tears. I was so, so proud. He is an amazing man, not perfect, but fabulous and amazing. Inspiring.
Her eyes filled with tears when she saw mine...
We laughed and wiped our eyes.

Just caught up on your last few posts. The weight loss, and gym activity, and crane operator, and your Dad....you are just awesome Andrea. Big Hugs. :)

my dad died when I was 16 so this post was especially poignant for me. I wonder often what kind of adult relationship we would've had & I suspect it would have been very special xo S & Gang

ps. I did buy the Artist's Way was it another book you were offering. Promise I'll email you tomorrow, finally ;-)

While I was reading your post I found myself crying. The love you clearly have for your Dad made me realize once again how much I miss my own Dad. What a beautiful post. He must be so proud of you.

Awww! THis is so SO sweet. I wish I'd had a better relationship with my dad growing up... we're doing better but still so much baggage.

Beautiful writing <3
