Remember the drawing from Sunday? I did some more work on her...
I am feeling better about her now. I was afraid of shading when I picked up the pencils again. Since I felt she was "ruined" from the watercolours I decided to go for it. I used chalk pastel for colour...
I've been sketching everyday this week and feel really good about how I am reacquiring some of my skill...
Never forget the power of an eraser.
Though this particular paper can't handle it...Holes have developed...
So good paper is essential too.
See you tomorrow for Sunday Sketches.

Andrea,
I seriously just love her! You are so talented. You really can't tell from this scan that there is anything wrong with the paper. She is gorgeous!
So glad you finished her.
Smiles!
So pretty! She looks much warmer now. I love her nose, complete with a sprinkling of freckles. Faces are so not my talent. Can't wait till tomorrow :)
much love,
Tena

What a beauty! I'm so glad you went back to her. You are a multi-talented wonder, darling.
And yes, high quality paper is definitely key.
Well done!

looks good, I think even holes in the paper does not distracted that is a pretty good artwork
she turned out wonderful. I also am learning the power of an eraser!
She turned out quite wonderfully! It's easy to let those sketching abilities fade (GUILTY!) but it must feel empowering to be regaining your skills.
...i'm sorry...i must have missed it...WHEN did you say she'll be in your Etsy shop...???
